No wonder half of the world always has rice on its plate. Whether beneath some saucy dish, seasoned or as a base for stuffing, this is the basic rice recipe to start many adventures.

It all starts with
1 cup Rice
1 medium Onion
And this is how it gets done
Chop the onion and fry it.
Add the rice, salt and pepper, and stir until all the rice is covered with oil.
Add 2 cups of boiling water, stir and bring to a boil.
Cover, turn down the heat to lowest, and cook for 20 minutes.
Turn the heat off and keep cover on for 10 more minutes.
Just 10 more, it will pay off :)
Now, take the cover off, stir and serve with a saucy dish, or use as a base for stuffing.
